Andrew Tolson is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker. He was Director of Photography at Maclean’s Magazine from 2003 to 2015, after which he created the in-house Rogers Media video unit. Under his editorship, this multi award-winning team of videographers, editors and motion designers produced content for a variety of Rogers brands, including Chatelaine, Maclean’s, Today’s Parent, Flare, Hello, and Sportsnet.
Since 2018, he has been a freelance photographer and filmmaker based in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. Recent clients include: The Guardian UK, Tourism Nova Scotia, St. Mary’s University, St. Francis Xavier University, Acadia University, The Globe and Mail, Maclean’s Magazine, The Canadian Press, Perennia, The Town of Annapolis Royal, Thistle Group Hospitality, Clothesline Media, Mapannapolis, Digby Area Tourism Association, AIRO, Still Fired Distilleries and Parks Canada.
